As I sit here, the night before departing on the biggest and craziest adventure of my life so far, I’m feeling both sadness for the goodbyes of the past few days, but also incredible excitement for what is to come. It’s still surreal, the fact that I’m actually going to be in Africa, a place I’ve dreamed about since I was a little girl, one week from now. I cannot wait!
While in Uganda for the next few months, I’d like to use this blog to keep updates of the goings on across the pond for anyone who is curious. Tomorrow afternoon I’ll arrive in Colorado Springs for our week of orientation at the Engineering Ministries International headquarters, where all the interns from every office around the world will get to spend a week getting to know each other and preparing to serve around the world. I am so looking forward to this. It’s sure to be a very exciting week.
I’m so incredibly grateful for all the support I’ve received from countless people leading up to this point. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I am so very blessed. This opportunity to serve overseas, in my field, is an answer to many, many prayers, and I am so thankful to God for it.
Goodbye for now Canada!
